Membership Year runs from July 1 through June 30

The Friends of Hanley Library was established in 1990 by a small group of faculty, staff and community members to encourage and strengthen relations between the library and the community.  Its membership consists of individuals who recognize the important role that libraries play in the education of tomorrow's leaders and future generations.

Each fall and spring, the Friends sponsor educational/cultural programs for the community.  In late September/early October, the Friends hold an annual used book sale in conjunction with Alumni Weekend.  In December, holiday selections are read by Dr. Don Ulin.  In April, the Friends present a community readers program of community members sharing selections from their favorite works.
